Lives Recuperation and Restoration Centre (CRRV – Centro de Recuperação e
Restauração de Vidas).

Reasons:
There are many reasons for the development of the Lives Recuperation and Restoration Centre. One of them emerged from the observation of the high increasement of drug addicted people recently and the difficulties reflected by the exclusions they have been submmited by the time they leave the recuperation centers, almost always, without their families´ help, the fact which most times have led them back to the world of drugs.
Our god wishes us to fight this war against drugs, and so gave us a piece of land of 30.000m2, right next to Itaparica Hospital on Itaparica Island. Our mission is to buil up an institution to recuperate and resocialize either female and male addicteds of legal or ilegal drugs.
Now that we have the land, volunteers and specialized people for this work, we are in search for donations, in order to build up a place in conditions to give a treatment to those who need it and therefore make them able to handle new oportunities in life.This will only be possible because of our inner commitment with the grace of the Lord Jesus.

Main aim:
To promote the internals´ recuperation and also their professional and social reintegration by having them taking part into productive activities and professional courses.
By doing that, we intend to facilitate the families´ welcome, a new career perspective and above all a cured soul.

Specific aims:
• To offer a special place where addicted people could have a temporary assisted stay;
• To facilitate professional qualification and the search for a new job;
• To give the addicteds a new possibility for them to restore their relationship with their families or ...even build their own new family.
• To help and assist the process of restoration between the addicteds and their family members.

Target people:
People from 18 on, who make use of psychochemical substances.

Assistance program:
Regiment of integral residence, where the internals will be assisted by spiritual and therapeutical teams for at least nine months.

Work methods:
Psychologists and Therapists will decide for the best treatment method in each case according to the individual needs. The treatment will be divided into two stages: detoxification and social reintegration.
During the treatment time, the internals must follow the internal regiment rules and will also be responsible for the house maintenance. The internals must also cope with: participation in lectures, individual assistance, group therapy, occupational therapy e.g: taking care of a vegetable garden, participating in professionalizing workshops and craftworking.
The whole treatment will be led through a spiritual therapy basis, such as: biblical studies, praying meetings and several lectures.

Professional team:
The treatment program will be planned, oriented and assisted by qualified professionals as: psychologists, therapists, doctors, social workers, and others; all contrated by the government and also volunteered.

The support:
To make this project come true, partnerships have been made between us and many organisations, such as: Local authorities, private companies, local businesses, non governmental, organizations and donations from individual entities. We will also build a factory to industrialize fruits pulp all grown in our orchard, in order to be commercialized.

Conclusion

Working with addicted people recuperation throughout all these years, we have noticed that one of the most difficult problems that these people face is their family relationship and their professional breaking offs.
Such situations require a long term plan treatment, but, at the same time, these people need to get back to their professional commitments as well as restore their family relationships.
Our work is to promote, besides the treatment, a help for the internals to increasingly get back to their routine and potentiate their faculty, in order to take advantage of new opportunities in their lives and of course, keep the professional help throughout this whole process.
Among other projects, this one is held by the Charitable Association of Stella Maris, a non profitable Christian entity, which aims to work together with our community helping those whose find themselves at the mercy of their own fate.

A dream that can come true…..

Dreams, sometimes, come up, either when we are asleep or awake, the importance is if they are in God’s heart, because then, they will become true.
God’s dream has been in my heart since we’ve gladly received this piece of land Located on Itaparica Island.
The dream of having people who have been victims of the use of “DRUGS” and this way have been suffering from addiction and body and soul illness; now have the chance to become free with the Lord Jesus grace and our help. This intend to help and cure these people, for them to get back productivily into our society.
The basis to make this dream come true on land, is the construction of the Lives Recuperation and Restoration Centre (CRRV) . However, we still need more volunteers and financial donations.
Join us, because alone we can not make much.
God, you and we, altogether can do a lot to help the ones in need.
